Flexible Intermediate Bulk Containers (FIBCs), commonly known as jumbo bags, bulk bags, or super sacks, are large industrial containers designed for storing and transporting dry, flowable materials. They are primarily made from woven polypropylene and can carry between 500 kg to 2,000 kg of product.
Key Characteristics & Specifications
Materials: Constructed from high-quality, woven virgin polypropylene (PP). They can be left uncoated (breathable) or coated (water/sift-proof) depending on the material being stored.
Weight Capacity: Typically engineered to hold a Safe Working Load (SWL) of 1,000 kg (1 Ton) to 2,000 kg.
Safety Factor: Standard bags feature a 5:1 or 6:1 Safety Factor, meaning the bag is designed to hold 5 to 6 times its rated load before breaking.
Top & Bottom Designs: Available with open tops, duffel tops/skirts, or fill spouts for loading, and flat bottoms or discharge spouts for easy emptying.
Lifting Loops: Equipped with sturdy, reinforced lifting loops (commonly 4-loop or 1-to-2 loop designs) that eliminate the need for wooden pallets and allow easy handling by forklifts or cranes.
